The Women of Our History: the Queens of Naples between Culture and Diplomacy

The women of our history do not live only in the past: they live on in the legacies they left behind and the visions that continue to guide us.
On December 19, at the Royal Palace of Caserta, the inauguration of the exhibition dedicated to the Queens of Naples, titled “Queens: Weavings of Culture and Diplomacy between Naples and Europe,” took place — a profound encounter with forms of femininity that were able to lead, foster culture, and inspire.
Through the works on display, including some lent by my husband and me, these figures re-emerge with grace and determination. This exhibition is not merely a celebration; it is an invitation to recognize the real, often underestimated role these women played in shaping Europe’s political and cultural history
